The Clinton Soccer Association emphasizes
instruction, fun, fair play, responsibility, physical
fitness and sportsmanship. Inherent in this is the
expectation of behavior to the accepted standards of conduct
by its players, parents, coaches and spectators. Our
goal is to provide a program that offers our youth the
opportunity to learn the importance of character while
playing the great sport of soccer.

SUMMER SOCCER ACADEMY
U8 Coaches, Parents, and Players...
Todd Eason is the new Director of Player Development for the
Clinton Soccer
Association. He also serves on staff with me at Brilla
Soccer Ministries. He
has developed an opportunity for the younger age groups to
continue
training, learning, and playing soccer after the Spring
season is over. I
have attached a brochure that details the "Summer Soccer
Academy". Please
note that the brochure is a two-page document.
The league will begin on Tuesday, April 14 and will conclude
on Saturday,
May 30. The cost is $25 and will include a T-shirt, a
Mississippi Brilla FC
season ticket (season begins May 9), and professional
training led by
Mississippi Brilla FC coaches and players. The league is
open to all U6
through U10 players (boys and girls), and will take place
each Tuesday at
6:00 pm. The season will also include a series of four 3v3
mini-tournaments
that will take place on the following Saturdays at 10:00 am:
April 25 (the
brochure mistakenly says April 18), May 2, May 16, and May
30.
Registration
will take place at the first session on Tuesday, April 14.
However, we would
like to have an idea of the number of kids participating so
that we can
secure the appropriate number of coaches. If you would like
to participate,
please send me an e-mail so that Todd can add your child to
the list.
If you have any questions, you may contact Todd Eason at
todd.eason@msbrillafc.org
Please pass this information along to anyone that may be
interested.

11/27/2007: Mississippi Brilla FC Named
Rookie Franchise of the Year
|

Mississippi
Brilla FC President/GM Rusty Bryant & Director of
Soccer Operations Scott Taylor show off the PDL 2007
Rookie Franchise of the Year Award |
The Annual General Meeting of the United
Soccer Leagues was recently held in Tampa, FL. During the
annual Hall of Fame Awards Banquet,
Mississippi Brilla FC
was honored as the Rookie Franchise of the Year in the
Premier Development League.
"What a tremendous honor," said Rusty Bryant, Mississippi
Brilla FC President and General Manager. "There were 7 new
teams in the league this year, and several of them were very
deserving of this award. The fact that we received the award
is a true testament to our organization, players, sponsors,
volunteers, and fans."
"The fact that we received the award over another first year
franchise that went through the regular season undefeated,
and broke a number of PDL records, speaks volumes about what
we accomplished this year," said Scott Taylor, Director of
Operations. "We had a great season both on and off the
field."
