Brilla Futures/Academy (D2)

Brilla Futures/Academy Program Fall 2016

The Brilla Futures/Academy (formerly CSA-Brilla Academy - D2) program is designed to help develop players that are currently playing Recreational (D3) soccer within the CSA organization. The goal is for the players in this system to develop faster individually and have a more focused intent towards the game. These players will train with professional coaching staff from Brilla FC and play games against other organizations that are set up in a similar manner. The players who choose to participate will have an additional training session during the week that will not conflict with their Recreational (D3) responsibilities. REGISTRATION EACH SEASON WILL TAKE PLACE AT THE CONCLUSION OF RECREATIONAL (D3) REGISTRATION.

U9-U12 Boys and Girls - Brilla Academy

In addition to recreational soccer, we offer our Brilla Academy option for those players seeking professional training and competitive playing opportunities.  Quality coaching and quality competition are key drivers in player development and our Brilla Academy option can deliver both.

Our Academy program continues to evolve and we have made some key changes this year in our U9- U12 age groups that you need to know about.

This year we will hold observations / tryouts for our Brilla Academy teams.  All interested players currently registered in our CFC U9 - U12 recreational age groups ('05, '06, '07, & '08 birth years) are eligible to tryout.   After the tryouts, we will select a team, or teams if we have the players to support it, in each age group.

Each team will be assigned a professional coach and will train once a week in addition to their recreational soccer commitments.   We are targeting three local tournaments in the Fall, and four tournaments in the Spring, culminating with Presidents Cup in May of '17.

If selected for one of our Brilla Academy teams, there will be a $60 fee each month the team is active.  We anticipate that will be 3 months in the Fall (August-October) and 4 months in the Spring (February - May) .   This monthly fee will cover coaching and tournament entry fees.  In addition, there will be an Academy uniform which will consist of a pair of socks, shorts, and two jerseys.  We are anticipating the cost for the uniform to be under $50.  The uniform is not covered in the monthly fee structure.

We believe going with this "team" approach vs a "pool" approach will accelerate the development of the players playing in our Academy.

For those players not selected, we will be offering skills training through our Brilla Futures program for anyone who wishes to participate.

If you are interested in going to the next level in soccer, I encourage you to come to the tryouts for our Brilla Academy teams.  The tryout schedule is as follows, and will take place on Field 8:

Monday August 15, 2016 6:00PM - 7:30PM

Thursday, August 18, 2016 6:00PM - 7:30PM
